Calathea plants are pretty easy to care for, as long as you make sure you get the right kind of planting medium. Something with good drainage, such as a pot with drainage holes, is best. It's also important to make sure the pot is not too small or large for the plant. If you do need to repot, use potting soil, and place it in a spot that is ideal for the plant. Fertilizer can also be used during the plant's growing season, or about once every 2-4 weeks.
